Not a List of Rules

“’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’  The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31).

A devastating number of people view Christianity as a list of rules… specifically, a list of “Thou shalt not” rules.  But when Jesus outlined the faith in its simplest and truest form, He simply said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.”  At its core, being a follower of Christ is simply to love.
